About the event

Through dialogue, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives, SADAA uplifts diverse perspectives and creates space for voices often left out of mainstream conversations. The focus of the second panel discussion will be to bring together leaders from Indigenous and newcomer communities, to exchange ideas about how we can talk about and work towards reconciliation, and how to bring diverse communities together in times of uncertainty. Join us for a thoughtful conversation led by Dr. Izzeddin Hawamda- (Founder of SADAA) and Rose Bird as we explore how these changes are affecting communities and businesses, foster meaningful dialogue, and strengthen our networks of support.

Speakers include:

Bernadette Smith – Minister of Housing, Addictions & Homelessness

Bonface Beti – International Storyteller, Theatre-Maker & Peacebuilder

Tasneem Vali – Logistics Director & Community Volunteer

Sarah Gazan- Director, Indigenous Excellence
